Brief Introduction
OML 115 is located in the extreme southeastern portion of the offshore eastern Niger delta. The block is located approximately 40 km from the coast in water depths ranging from 36 to 82 meters. Oriental Energy is planning to drill a new exploration well on OML 115 in 2007 and will continue to ensure safe and environmentally sound exploration and development activities on the block. The OKWOK FIELD, located adjacent to OML 115 in OML 67, is operated by Oriental under a farm-out agreement with Mobil Producing Nigeria and NNPC that was signed May 9, 2006. Oriental was joined in the project by Addax Petroleum, who acquired a 40% interest from Oriental in June 2006. Oriental and Addax drilled 4 appraisal wells in the Okwok Field in 2006, and plan to drill 2 additional wells in the field in 2007.
